A week after the successful separation of the Algerian conjoined twins, Sara and Ikram, which was performed on Thursday, 17 March 2011, at the King Abdulaziz Medical City, National Guard Health Affairs - Riyadh, the Head of the Surgical and Multidisciplinary Team, Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, stated That the twins are doing extremely well and were removed from the artificial respirator less than 24 hours post-op.

Based on the Directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Saud, the Algerian conjoined twins, Ekram and Sarah accompanied by their parents, arrived from Algeria to King Abdulaziz Medical City, National Guard Health Affairs, Riyadh on Wednesday, 2 March 2011.
