Today is the 15th day after the successful separation of Ahmed and Mohammed at KAMC-Riyadh. Both twin are doing extremely well. Ahmed at present, is feeding on a soft regular diet and breathing normally.

The twin Ahmed & Mohammed are doing extremely well. This morning at about 9:00 A.M, they were taken off the respirator and their airway tubes were successfully removed. They started to breath normally without any support. Their condition is very stable in all systems. They both talked to their parents and to each other and they even asked each other to come closer.

Successful separation of the Siamese conjoined twin Ahmed & Mohammad was performed at King Abdulaziz Medical City National Guard-Riyadh on 17 September 2002, in a 23½ hour operation.

It goes without saying that you need a highly qualified professional medical team to make this type of operation a success. But the team would not be able to obtain this goal without the very specialized and precise medical equipment they use.
